Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has decided that the eco-brainstorming of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez should be put to the legislative test.
I could not be more glad that the American people will have the opportunity to learn precisely where each one of their senators stand on the “Green New Deal”: a radical, top-down, socialist makeover of the entire U.S. economy.

Even describing the Green New Deal as merely a “socialist makeover” is the understatement of the century.
The AOC’s plan is simply insane, genocidal, and impossible.

This cheap, simple diabetic breakfast is reversing diabetes (even type 2) in as little as 4 weeks.
Even if you hold a basic education, it doesn’t take long to understand that it would collapse the economy, cause massive famine, and countless deaths, as society begins to unravel. The plan would literally cause a post-apocalyptic future the likes of Mad Max.
Go read the Green New Deal yourself. Its foundation is predicated on already debunked climate models, a host of factual inaccuracies, and non-existing technologies that should be invented and widely implemented within 10 years!
Furthermore, it greatly overstates the efficacy of renewable sources like wind and solar. These are highly dependent on the vagaries of weather, and cause enormous, straining fluctuations in the electricity supply network.
Germany already tried to embark on this journey, and the renewable program failed miserably:
“An average four-person household has to pay more than double for power in 2017 compared to 2000,” Mueller said, adding that retail customers feel they’re bearing the brunt of the cost of transformation, which is added to their power bills, while big industrial users get off much more lightly.
The powerful German business lobby BDI is also unhappy, saying in a recent report that high electricity costs, delays in boosting the energy efficiency of buildings, and a “lack of vision” on transport are “worrying German industry.”
Who could have guessed that a transition from the most cost-effective, eco-friendly, and clean energy – nuclear – to fickle wind and solar, which can’t even be stored properly, would cause such problems?
And did you know that the kinetic energy of the wind actually expends itself the more wind turbines you have erected in an area?
If the USA doesn’t want to go that route and promptly collapse its economy, exposing the Green New Deal for what it is cannot come sooner.
Many ‘serious’ Democrats have already supported the ludicrous plan, so it will be interesting to see what this procedural vote will yield.
When all considered, what can you expect to come out of a mind that utters a statement like this –
I guess, when you think that the world is going to end in 12 years, mass famine and civilizational collapse would be a small price to pay.
Do you think that Democrats will continue to virtue-signal on the climate issue, or will they come to their senses? Hit reply and tell me your opinion.
